Child Protection

In keeping with the BTC (British TaekwonDo Council) Child Protection Policy, all instructors in the TTA are required to attend a Child Protection Course and undergo a Criminal Records Bureau/Disclosure Scotland check prior to taking up the above positions.

All instructors receive certification confirming their eligibility to instruct in the art of Taekwondo and their suitability in working with children and vulnerable adults.

Dr. Chantal Lew Kum Hoi (England) and Jenny Lienig (Scotland) have been appointed as Child safe guarding Officers on behalf of the TTA and work closely with the BritishTaekwonDo Council on Child Protection Issues.

Should you wish to contact the TTA Child Protection Officer for any reason please contact the above mentioned.

If you have serious concerns about a child, you can call the NSPCC Child Protection Helpline- a free 24 hour service which provides counseling, information and advice to anyone concerned about a child at risk.
